However, the surfaces having stratified functional properties are difficult to evaluate by commonly used roughness parameters, because plateau region and the valley region need to beanalyzed separately. This research developed an evaluation method for the surfaces having stratified functional properties by applying an image processing technology.

Oral presentation(general)  Study of performance change of small ball bearing left in high temperature environment  Proceedings of the Japan Society for Precision Engineering  2012/03  URL  玉軸受の転動体は線材を切断、鍛造して作られており、内部の残留応力は均一ではない。内部の応力は温度が高くなると開放されるが、それによって形状や寸法が変化すると軸受の性能を低下させてしまう。そこで本研究では、小径玉軸受を高温放置し、振動や寸法等の変化を長期に渡って観察した。 
Oral presentation(general)  Observation of the Movement of a Stylus Tip of a Profilometer using Electrical Conductivity  Journal of the Japan Society for Precision Engineering  2011/09  URL  触針式の表面粗さ測定において,プローブの走査速度が速すぎる場合には,触針の慣性モーメントの影響により触針先端が試料表面から浮き上がってしまう.これは測定の忠実性を大きく損ない,触針式粗さ計の測定の効率を制限する.これまでにも数々の実験ならびにシミュレーションが行われているが,本研究では,導電体の触針を用いて実際の測定時の触針の浮き上がりをとらえることにより,走査速度の上限を求めた. 
Oral presentation(general)  Change of dimension and roundness of steel ball for ball bearing in condition of high temperature leaving  Proceedings of the Japan Society for Precision Engineering  2011/03  URL  軸受用鋼球は線材から鍛造、研削、ラップ加工を経て製造される。形は球形であるが、内部には線材として引き抜かれた際の材料フローが残っており、内部応力は均一ではない。熱や外部応力によって鋼球の内部応力が解放されると寸法や形状が変化する懸念がある。そこで本研究では、鋼球を高温環境に放置した場合の寸法と形状変化を観察した結果について報告する。 
Oral presentation(general)  Shape change observation of steel balls for ball bearings by internal stress change  Proceedings of the Japan Society for Precision Engineering  2010/03  URL  鋼球は線材から作られるが、線材は引き抜かれた際の材料フローが残っている。鍛造、研削、ラップを経て高精度に仕上げられるが、内部には材料フローが残っており、内部応力は均一ではない。内部応力は高温になると解放されるが、転がり軸受も100℃以上で使われることもある。本研究は、転がり軸受用鋼球を長期間高温放置して、内部応力を解放させた場合の形状変化を観察したものである。 
Oral presentation(general)  Manufacturing and evaluation of surface roughness specimens:Proposal and trial manufacturing of specimens with new surface roughness form  精密工学会学術講演会春季大会  2010/03  URL  Calibration specimens are fundamental materials to assure the traceability of surface profilometer. Therefore, in this study, the manufacturing system was developed to disseminate calibration specimens. In the previous paper, we reported that the system was newly modified to make it more precise. In this paper, we report on the development of calibration specimens with chirp (sweep) forms, circular-arc grooves array forms and other forms. The purposes on the circular-arc groove array specimens (Type B2 and C4) are to calibrate the motif parameters R, AR, W, AW etc., the P-parameters PSm and Pa and the R-parameters RSm. The main purposes on the proposed chirp form specimens are to check easily and quickly characteristic and capability of digital Gaussian filter and frequency response characteristic specification of stylus instruments. On the chirp form specimens mainly manufactured, the wavelength of the signal varies linearly and logarithmically over the lateral direction x (Types of chirp include linear, quadratic, logarithmic, exponential chirp etc.). These specimens were manufactured by single point diamond tools, which tip radius is finite radius. In this study, the diamond tools with around 20 u m radius was used, the tool locus was mathematically corrected to accurately manufacture arbitrary form by geometrical analysis.
